McQueen日前在社交媒体上自爆回归CW青春灵异剧《吸血鬼日记》（The Vampire Diaries）最后一集，再度扮演Jeremy一角。 McQueen正式离开该剧是在第六季中段，不过他又于该季季末短暂回归，那一集也正好是Nina Dobrev扮演Elena的最后一集。姐弟俩就此分道扬镳，直到本剧大结局。 此后，McQueen出演了NBC消防局《芝加哥烈焰》（Chicago Fire）和罪案剧《芝加哥警署》（Chi疯岳撬佳人 豆瓣cago P.D.）；而Dobrev则在大银幕发展，其中参演的好莱坞动作片《极限特工3：终极回归》（xXx: Return of Xander Cage）已登陆全球各大院线，中国将于2月10日上映。 当然，除了Dobrev和McQueen，还有更多老熟人回归本剧大结局。此前有消息称，David Anders、Kayla Ewell和Michael Trevino都将悉数回归，其中Anders再度扮演Elena的生父和Jeremy的叔叔John Gilbert，Ewell再次扮演Matt的姐姐Vicki，Trevino则继续出演小狼人Tyler。 《吸血鬼日记》大结局将于北京时间2017年3月11日首播。
